On the 7th March 2017 our ty year went to Fota wild life park in Cork.
It was an early start as we had to be at the school for 7.15am and we left on the dot of twenty past seven. The bus was nice but it was a bit small, the seats were very close together. It got stuffy at times. It was a very long journey, it took two and a half hours there and back that's a total of five hours.
When we arrived at the park, Rachael greeted us at the gate and took us to a building and split us into tow different groups. We went into the first room where we had to describe an animal to each other and pass it down along to the person at the end who had to try and build the animal out of lego. When we finished that game we swapped rooms with the other group. We were introduced to Caroline who introduced a new game to us. In this game we had to select a Shepard and five sheep. The Shepard had to get each sheep into the pen by using signals only, for example clapping. The sheep were blindfolded so this made it more difficult. The two groups then came together and were put into teams of sic and we had to make three different shapes out of tangrams.
When we finished we headed out to the first exhibit, this was the giraffes. They are huge animals but very beautiful. We were then taken int the kitchen where our tour guide explained to us what they do and how they prepare there food in the kitchen. There were ostriches and zebras in the shed with the giraffes. We then went onto see the pandas, the cheetahs, the seals and the flamingos. They were all very interesting and beautiful animals.
